Chelsea Handler

Well, well, well, it has been quite a while since my last post. College seems to take over your life.

October 1, Chelsea Handler came to San Antonio, Texas for a book signing and her Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang show. It was a long day. My friend and I woke up at 5:00AM and headed down to Borders, (where the signing was taking place) to wait in line until 10:00AM to get our wrist bands. We ended up being 11 and 12 in line out of approximately 500 people. It was crazy. 5:00PM the signing started. Chelsea didn't roll up in a stretch limo or anything like that, just a black escalade. It was funny. She signed maybe 400 or more books in an hour. Her show that night was amazing. Josh Wolf was her opening act. He was hysterical. We met or I should say talked to some pretty cool people, but how ever never got their name. Chelsea handler was a pretty nice lady. She liked our shirts we made. They were hot pink with a double 0 on the back with "Chelsea Handler" in zebra print letters with a C.H. embroidered letters on the front. All in all it was a great day.

So October 4, which means Halloween is coming up very soon. What will be the popular costumes for this year?

Just Everyday Nonsense.

Could someone please explain to me when children starting getting out of hand. I was at the mall and this little boy, couldn't be older then 6, was running around everywhere. He was trying to knock off a toy his dad had given him and crawling on everything. Then all of a sudden the kid takes off running down the mall and the dad finally got up and went after him, didn't faze the kid one bit. Children have lost their manners and respect for adults. It is quite sad. What happen to disciplining the children. I'm not talking about beating their kids to the point of child abuse and being hateful, but I am talking about being firm with them, not letting them walk all over you. People act like they are afraid of their children and they are afraid to tell their children no. I promise parents the children may complain and whine when you say no, but they will not turn into a monster and take your soul. It's crazy the way children act now a days. There is nothing wrong in discipline when done correctly. And no I don't mean child abuse (yes, I know I have repeated myself, but I want to make this very clear). I think there is a line between discipline and child abuse. Can discipline lead to child abuse? Yes, but that is where the parents need self control and need patience. Enough of this topic rant.

Well the rain was completely ridiculous this past Tuesday. Hermine definitely took a toll on Texas. Completely crazy.
This was a picture taken on my way to school.

Football starts tonight. Minnesota Vikings vs. New Orleans Saints.

Well until the next post I'll leave you with a few words.

Inizio della settimana 3.

Well it has been quite some time since the last entree.

I have been a sophomore in college for 2 weeks now and boy are classes rough. My fashion classes are amazing, but biology and macroeconomics are kicking my butt. I love my Italian class and the teacher. My macro teacher speaks very little english. I can understand her but pay more attention to her accent then what she is teaching. ha go figure.

The first Cardinal football game was on August 28th. We played a good game, but the outcome still sucked.

The boyfriend finally turned 21 and boy did I plan a good surprise. I told him we were going to my best friends dad's company party at their house. Well I faked a last minute phone call saying the caterer was double booked and they called all the places in San Antonio and the only place willing to cater in such short notice was Macaroni Grill. After being yelled at, chewed out, and cussed up and down for not parking in the "to go" parking, we went inside and he realized we were meeting 2 of his really good friends there. Needless to say he had a pretty good birthday.

Well until next time. Hope everyones Labor day weekend was fantabulous.

Ciao-Ciao

Visit to the Windy City.

For the past week I was in Chicago, Illinois for the Chicago Human Rhythm Project. I had the opportunity to take classes from a few of the best teachers: Billy SiegenfeldJason Janas, and Jay Fagan. While I was their I went on a tour to see Chicago on a Double Decker bus. We saw where some scenes of the Dark Knight was filmed,
where the 18 wheeler
blows up in the Dark Knight.

the Church which was in My Best Friends Wedding,

and even got to see the Transformer 3 movie is being filmed.
they were blowing things up.

One day we went to Navy Pier, which should of been a 10 minute trip, but turned into a 2 hour trip.  We got on the right bus but going the wrong way. We ended up on the deep west side of Chicago. That was my little mistake.

Billy Elliot on Broadway was amazing.

The trip was amazing. I am thankful I am given the opportunity to do such amazing things. It was a great week, new friends were made and old friends were reconnected.

Sew Cool.

Over the weekend I participated in a tap dance festival called Third Coast Rhythm Project (TCRP). It was a phenomenal experience as always. Classes were taught by Dianne Walker,  Max Pollak, Acia Gray, Jay Fagan, Nicole Hockenberry, Lisa La Touche, Barbara Phillips, Germaine Salsberg, Tasha Lawson, and percussionist Aaron Guidry. The classes were intense and completely amazing. It is always a blessing to share your passion with teachers and dancers who share that same passion.

While I was there I noticed some of the dancer's shoe bags. The bag holds your tap shoes in individual bags held together by a string. The dancers had purchased them prior at a tap festival about 5 or more years ago. Well I decided to put my own flare to it. Instead of the plain color I showed a little of personality when I made my own.

I lined the inside with hot pink material even though you can't see it. I plan on making and posting more :)

Just Another Creation.

I made 2 more pages to be hung somewhere. They are both a tad bit cheesy, I think all in all turned out pretty good.

Let me know what you think.
